RIPON – St. Norbert College got its indoor track and field season going in earnest at the Ripon College Red Hawk Opener at Willmore Center.
The Green Knights totaled 163 points to finish in second place. Carthage College won the team title with 197 points.
St. Norbert totaled four first-place finishes.
Ezra Schermacher won the 60-meter hurdles in 8.63 seconds, while the 4x400-meter relay of
Ryan Flood,
Michael Pollos,
Spencer Evenson and
Gabriel Thiel won with a time of 3:30.05.
The Green Knights got a pair of wins in field events, with
Jacob Klitzke (pictured) taking the shot put with a heave of 51 feet 1 inch and
Evan Koelemay clearing 14-4 3/4 in the pole vault.
