DE PERE - St. Norbert College prepared for the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Championship next weekend with its own SNC Invitational at Schneider Stadium.
The Green Knights came in second place out of 11 teams, earning 98.5 points. UW-Oshkosh won the meet with 227.5 points.
St. Norbert recorded three event victories on the day. The 4x100-meter relay team of
Jacob McVane,
Jacob Larson, Ian Bloom and
Cole Wiedenbeck took first in 43.18, and the 4x400-meter relay team of Larson,
Ryan Flood, Blom and
Logan Ashby placed first in 3:25.45.
Jacob Klitzke (pictured) added an individual win in the shot put with a mark of 55 feet 3 inches.
The Green Knights also added multiple second-place finishes.
Jacob Wellons was runner-up in the 5,000-meter run in 15:38.31, while
Christian Lopez took second in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 9:55.5. Klitzke placed second in the hammer throw with a mark of 170-11, and
Maddix Mueller shared second in the high jump with a clearance of 5-11 1/2.
