Green Knights Capture Fourth-Straight NACC Indoor Crown

2025 NACC Men's Track Indoor Championship Group PictureKENOSHA – St. Norbert College captured its fourth consecutive Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference men's indoor track and field championship with a stellar Day 2 performance at UW-Parkside's Petretti Fieldhouse.
 
The Green Knights picked up scoring depth and big performances in key areas to edge runner-up Milwaukee School of Engineering 184.5 points to 178.5 points. Aurora University was a distant third with 74.5 points.
 
Ezra Schermacher turned in a virtuoso performance, collecting three first-place finishes on the second day of competition. Schermacher won the long jump at 22 feet 7 3/4 inches and the high jump at 6-7 1/4 en route to being named Field Athlete of the Meet. He also won the 60-meter hurdles at 8.54 seconds and finished second in the pole vault on Day 1.
 
Collin Sylvain gained St. Norbert's other conference championship with a time of 50.47 seconds in the 400-meter dash.
 
The Green Knights totaled four runner-up finishes, led by Lars Huffman's St. Norbert-record time of 4:18.37. Jacob Klitzke took second in the shot put in 52-11 1/2. Maddix Mueller finished second in the hepathlon with 4,113 points. The quartet of Spencer Evenson, Gabriel Thiel, Nick Johnson and Collin Sylvain clinched the conference title with a runner-up showing in the 4x400-meter relay in 3:28.22.
 
Kavin Fredrick finished third in the 200-meter dash in 22.51 seconds. Bennett Schmidt tied for third in the high jump at 6-1 1/4, while Jonathan Timm was third in the heptathlon with 3,953 points.
