DE PERE - St. Norbert College set a single-match hitting percentage record with a 3-0 win over Maranatha Baptist University in a non-conference match at Mulva Family Fitness & Sports Center.
The Green Knights (3-5) stopped the Sabercats 25-13, 25-8, 25-10.
St. Norbert hit a lusty .482, with 35 kills against eight errors in 56 attempts. The previous mark was .418 set against Wisconsin Lutheran College on March 11, 2022.
The Green Knights never trailed in a match that lasted just 55 minutes. An 8-1 run broke things open early in Set 1, while an 8-2 skein led to a Set 2 victory. St. Norbert opened Set 3 with a 7-1 run en route to closing out the win.
Eleven different Green Knights registered a kill.
Kaden Kornaus led the way with eight kills in 10 attempts. Jacob Van Ooyen added five kills.
Grant Bettag (pictured) and
Cam Doty four kills each.
Michael Whitney added 12 assists and
Ethan Grassl had 10 assists. St. Norbert posted 12 service aces, with Van Ooyen and Whitney each registering three.

Maranatha Baptist hit minus-.073, with 12 kills and 16 errors in 55 attempts. Isaiah Johnson led the Sabercats with four kills.
