Career: Three Varsity letters

2025: Had a breakout season appearing in 84 sets over 25 matches. Notched a career-best 11 kills vs. NCAA DII Barton on 1/25. Hit .307 on the season which ranked 11th in the NACC. Recorded 4 matches with double digit points scored.

2024: Saw time in 23 matches as a middle hitter. Compiled 97 kills, 31 total blocks, and hit .299 on the season. Set season-bests in kills (10) and total blocks (5) vs. Calvin on 2/17. 

2023: Appeared in 36 sets over 14 matches after joining the team in late January. Tallied 61 kills, 13 digs, and 12 blocks on the season. Recorded a season-best 9 kills vs. Lasell on 3/17.

Before SNC: Three-year letter winner at Dominican highlighted with a WIAA regional championship in 2021. Named twice to the All-Woodland Conference team: honorable mention in 2020 and first team in 2021. Selected as the Woodland Conference Player of the Year and WBVCA All-State honorable mention in 2021. Also was a four-year letter winner in basketball and golf earning two All-Metro Conference selections in basketball and one in golf. Named honorable mention WBCA All-State for the 2021-2022 basketball season.

Personal: Intended double major in Psychology and Business. Son of Barry and Lorraine Applewhite. Has a brother Brandon and sister Lorena. Was a member of the SNC men's basketball team during his freshman and sophomore years. Birthdate is Jan. 22.

"Barry made huge strides on the volleyball court in his sophomore season. We are very exited to have him as a full-time member of our team in 2025. He continues to increase his strength and attack height and will certainly be a middle that will turn some heads in the league this spring."
