DE PERE – St. Norbert College had four women's volleyball student athletes named to the All-Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference team, announced today by the conference office.
Senior setter Heidi Colburn and senior middle blocker Mari Szews were named to the first team, while sophomore outside hitter Casey Vaughan was named to the second team. Senior pin Mickenzi Benter was named an honorable mention.
Colburn, an Oshkosh native and North High School graduate, totaled 814 assists in the regular season, averaging 8.66 per set. She surpassed 2,500 career assists this season and was named the NACC Offensive Player of the Week on three occasions.
Szews, a Rhinelander native and Three Lakes High School graduate, totaled 215 kills with an average of 2.34 per set and a hitting percentage of .361, the best in the conference. She also led the team in blocks with 69 and was named the NACC Offensive Player of the Week twice.
Vaughan, a Iola native and Stevens Point Pacelli graduate, led the team in kills with 265 with an average of 2.94 per set and a hitting percentage of .195.
Benter, a De Pere native and Fox Valley Lutheran High School graduate, tallied 218 kills with an average of 2.40 per set and a hitting percentage of .225.
