RIPON – It may have been the first meet of the St. Norbert College track and field season, but that did not preclude stellar performances as the Green Knights competed at the Ripon College Winter Open at Willmore Center.
Two new St. Norbert indoor standards were set, with
Lyndon Hemmrich-Hartman posting a time of 6.95 seconds in the 60-meter dash and
Aiden Anderson (pictured) clearing a height of 16 feet 4 3/4 inches – an even 5 meters – in the pole vault.
Those two performances were part of seven event wins for the Green Knights. Hemmrich-Hartman added a triumph in the 200-meter dash in 22.63 seconds.
Jacob Klitzke picked up two victories in throwing events, going 51-3 in the shot put and 49-7 1/4 in the weight throw.
Gabriel Thiel won the 300-meter dash in 36.65 seconds. The quartet of

Trey Parr,
Spencer Evenson and Thiel claimed the 4x400-meter relay in 3:32.33.
Competing in the multi events at the UW-Oshkosh Early Bird Meet,
Ezra Schermacher finished second in a competitive heptathlon field with 5,045 points.
