DE PERE – St. Norbert College seniors Lisa LaRoche and Courtnie Hogan were named two of the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association's Three Stars of the Week, announced today by the conference office.
LaRoche, a Minnetonka, Minnesota, native, had a four-point weekend against Marian University. She scored three goals and provided one assist in the weekend sweep over the Sabres. She scored the opening goal in the first game of the weekend in a 4-0 win and would then score two more and provide an assist in a multi-point performance in a 8-0 win to cap the weekend. LaRoche has scored in five of the first six games to open the season.
Hogan, a Hoffman Estates, Illinois, native, scored three goals against the Sabres last weekend. Her goal in the 4-0 win over Marian was an empty net and a shorthanded goal for St. Norbert. She would then score two more goals in the 8-0 win over the Sabres, the first of which came on a power play. With her goals this weekend, Hogan extended her scoring streak to four straight games.
The award is the second for both LaRoche and Hogan in their careers.
