MILWAUKEE - St. Norbert College was held to a 0-0 draw by Milwaukee School of Engineering, but picked up an extra point with a 2-0 margin in the ensuing shootout in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at the Kern Center.
The Green Knights (10-6-2, 7-2-2 NCHA) were held scoreless despite holding a 26-18 edge in shots during regulation. St. Norbert had three opportunities on the power play during regulation, while the Raiders had four total, including one at the beginning of the overtime period.
In the shootout, Taylor Lesnar (pictured) scored on St. Norbert's first attempt, while Keira Markell was able to make two stops to keep it a 1-0 advantage going into the final round. Abby Pieper scored in the third round to end the affair to give the Green Knights the extra point.
Overall, St. Norbert outshot MSOE 27-24. Markell made 24 stops with six coming in overtime. Laura Melizza made 27 saves for MSOE.
