RIPON - St. Norbert College won its eighth consecutive indoor track and field championship with the team title of the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference at Ripon College's Willmore Center.
The Green Knights totaled 164 points to outdistance Aurora University's 93 points. Concordia University Wisconsin was third with 85 points. The Green Knights won their last six indoor championships in the Midwest Conference and won the NACC in each of their first two years in the league.
Nicole Makope took a pair of first-place finishes on Day 2, claiming the 60-meter dash in 7.91 seconds and the 200-meter dash in 26.48 seconds.
Sydney Spaeth, who was second in the long jump on Day 1, won the triple jump in 38 feet 2 1/4 inches, leading four St. Norbert finishers in the top six. She was second in the 60-meter hurdles in 9.43 seconds and finished sixth in the high jump at 4-10 3/4. Spaeth was named Field Athlete of the Meet.
