DE PERE – St. Norbert College has been picked fifth in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference's annual pre-season poll of the league's coaches and sports information directors.
The Green Knights totaled 248 points. Edgewood University was the pre-season favorite with 329 points and 19 first-place votes. Milwaukee School of Engineering was picked second with 302 points and four first-place votes, while Aurora University was selected third with 289 points and two first-place votes.
St. Norbert opens its season on Sept. 1 at St. John's University. The Green Knights open conference play against Marian University on Sept. 16 at Schneider Stadium.
