DE PERE – St. Norbert College's season concluded in a 3-0 loss to Illinois Institute of Technology in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Tournament quarterfinal at Schneider Stadium.
The Green Knights (11-8) held off the Scarlet Hawks until the second half when the visitors scored 11 minutes after halftime at 56:52. While the Green Knights had 11 shots in the second half after being blanked in the first, they found their shots falling just wide on multiple opportunities.
Down 2-0 after 71:29, a free kick opportunity from Kevin Ramirez was saved, as was the follow-up shot from Davis Vega seconds later. Everett Saeger nearly brought one back with under three minutes reaming if not for two Illinois Tech defenders on the goal line to stop the shot. The Scarlet Hawks added one further goal before the final whistle at 89:55.
St. Norbert was outshot 13-11. Dominic Lagona had three shots in the second half, while Hayden Dunn had two.
Jackson Kiszka made two saves, while Illinois Tech's David Rodriguez had three.
Illinois Tech's Mateo Secaira was involved in all three goals, scoring one goal and assisting two.
