MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - St. Norbert College opened the outdoor portion of its 2023 track and field season by competing at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium.

The St. Norbert women finished 12th out of 32 schools in the team standings with 20 points, and was the top Division III school at a meet littered with NCAA Division I and II competition. The Green Knights men did not score.

Sydney Spaeth has the top long jump distance in Division III after finishing fourth with a leap of 18 feet 9 inches. Nicole Makope is fourth nationally after going 17-8 1/4.

Grace Kowalkowski is sixth in Division III after pole vaulting 11-5 3/4, which was good to finish second in both the A Flight and the combined results.

Lauren Rottier is ninth in Division III in the high jump after a performance of 5-0 1/4.

Randy Johnson led the men by finishing second in the Open 400-meter dash in 51.89 seconds.
