ST. PAUL, Minn. - St. Norbert College faced tough competition on the first day of the University of Northwestern Kathryn Pals Legacy Invitational at Ericksen Center.
The Green Knights opened with a 3-0 loss to 15th-ranked Northwestern, falling 25-14, 25-17, 25-18. St. Norbert then dropped a 3-0 decision to Coe College by scores of 25-19, 25-12, 25-18.
St. Norbert had 24 kills against 21 errors in 100 attempts against Northwestern. 
Alyssa Mills, 
Rylie Gregg and 
Molly Rader all had five kills apiece for the Green Knights, while 
Ellie Hartson added 19 assists. 
Erin Eggers had 18 digs, while 
Linnea Svennes finished with three blocks.
The Green Knights hit .148 against Coe, with 28 kills and 15 errors in 88 attempts. 
Brooke Clement finished with 10 kills, while Rader and Gregg added five a piece. Hartson totaled 17 assists. Clement finished with three service aces. Eggers had seven digs and Clement added six.
St. Norbert closes out its opening weekend with a match at 11 a.m. Saturday against 20th-ranked Bethel University.
