
WAUKESHA – A pair of St. Norbert College thinclads tied the school record in the pole vault as the Green Knights cruised to the team title at the Carroll University Invitational.
St. Norbert College posted 140 points to lead the 11-team field. UW-Stevens Point was second with 118 points.
Grace Kowalkowski and
Sara DeGroot tied for the win in the pole vault, both matching a school record height of 11 feet 3 3/4 inches.
Olivia Eisch won the 1,500-meter run in a time of 5:02.50 and added a second-place finish in the 800-meter run in 2:24.45.
Sydney Zima won the 200-meter dash in 27.01 seconds and was tied for third place in the long jump at 15-9 1/2.
Joyana Tarsa won the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 12:11.63.
The 4x100-meter relay of Zima,
Sydney Olund,
Emelia Lichty and
Audrey Makope won with a time of 50.54 seconds. The 4x400-meter relay of
Brianne Barta,
Julie Dunkel,
Cora Purdue and
Faith Mertzig was second in 4:20.83.
Lauren Rottier won the javelin throw at 114-11, while
Megan Petras was eighth at 84-5.
Sydney Spaeth was second in the high jump with a height of 4-11. Spaeth was fourth in the 100-meter hurdles in 17.56 seconds and the triple jump at 34-5 3/4.
Anna Giblin was third in the 100-meter hurdles in 17.14 seconds, Rottier was tied for third in the long jump at 15-9 1/2 and Dunkel was third in the 400-meter dash in 1:01.09.
Sammi Digman placed fourth and Olund fifth in the 400-meter hurdles with times of 1:16.27 and 1:17.13, respectively.
Mertzig was sixth,
Chloe Pierson seventh and
Sydney Bartz eighth in the 800-meter run with respective times of 2:36.16, 2:36.26 and 2:38.58. Lichty was seventh in the 200-meter dash in 28.28 seconds.
Lydia Albright was eighth in the discus at 114-4.
