Sara DeGroot’s TFRRS Page
Career: Competed in 28 meets, including three Midwest Conference Championships. Earned a total of 26 team points in her conference appearances. Holds both the indoor and outdoor school record in the pole vault. Personal record in the pole vault is 3.50 meters (11 feet 5.75 inches).
2020: Started the season with a clearance in the pole vault of 3.35 (10-11.75) and a second-place finish. Had a third-place finish in the pole vault at the Emory Crossplex Showdown and then a first-place finish at the Friday Night Spikes Invitational. At the Red Hawk Invite placed first in the pole vault. Cleared 3.38 (11-1) in the pole vault at the MWC Championship and took first place. Her 10 team points helped the Green Knights win the conference title. At the Carthage Final Qualifier broke the school record in the pole vault with a clearance of 3.50 (11-5.75). Concluded the season at the Pointer Final Qualifier where she matched her performance at Carthage.
2019: Indoor: In first collegiate meet finished in first place in the pole vault at the Pointer Open Alumni. Finished in third place at the Red Hawk Invite. At the MWC Championship cleared 3.25 (10-8) to finish second. Had highest clearance of the season at the Pointer Final Qualifier with a jump of 3.27 (10-9).
Outdoor: Earned six team points with third-place finish in the pole vault at the Wisconsin Private College Championship. Cleared 3.40 (11-1.75) and took first place at the Carroll University Alumni Open. Had a second-place finish at the St. Norbert Midweek Meet and a first-place finish at the Lawrence Viking Invitational. At the MWC Championship had a second-place finish with a clearance of 3.40 (11-1.75).
Personal: Majoring in education and mathematics. Attended Kimberly High School. Enjoys swimming and hanging out with friends. Birthdate is Oct. 27, 1999.
