
DE PERE – St. Norbert College got its outdoor track and field season underway at the St. Norbert Equinox Classic at Schneider Stadium.
The Green Knights won the team scoring on a beautiful first day of spring, scoring 162 points. NCAA Division II Michigan Tech was second with 81 points, while Ripon College was third with 68 points.
Sara DeGroot set a school record in the pole vault, clearing a height of 11 feet 3 3/4 inches.
Daijah Brown captured two first-place finishes, winning the 400-meter dash in 1:00.96 and the 200-meter dash in 27.15 seconds.
Brianne Barta was second in the 200-meter dash in 27.63 seconds, followed by
Sydney Olund in third place at 27.92 seconds.
Joyana Tarsa was second in the 400-meter dash in 1:02.54.
Sydney Zima won the long jump with a distance of 17 feet 6 3/4 inches, while
Isabella Kestell was third at 14-3.
Audrey Makope took first in the 100-meter dash in 12.61 seconds, followed by Zima in second place at 12.89 seconds.
Alex Bruley won the 2,000-meter steeplechase in 7:20.61.

Emelia Lichty and Makope won the 4x100-meter relay in 51.39 seconds.
Lauren Rottier won the high jump at 5-0 1/2 and finished second in the javelin at 104-4.
Sydney Moore and
Sydney Spaeth tied for third in the high jump at 4-8 3/4.
Lydia Albrecht was third in the javelin throw at 87-3 and the discus throw at 110-5.
Spaeth won the triple jump at 35-8 3/4, while
Brittany Wagner was third at 32-2 1/4.
Emma Sweere had a pair of second-place showings in the hammer throw (127-4) and shot put (38-7 1/2).
Miani Blackwell was third in those events, finishing with distances of 123-0 and 38-3 1/4, respectively.
Olivia Eisch finished second in the 1,500-meter run at 5:02.84 and was third in the 800-meter run in 2:30.37.
