APPLETON – St. Norbert College posted a solid performance at the Viking Invitational at Lawrence University's Whiting Field, winning 10 events on the day.
Cole Wiedenbeck took first in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.52, while
Lars Huffman captured the 800-meter run in 1:59.03.
Jacob Larson added a win in the 400-meter hurdles in 58.26, and the 4x100-meter relay team of
Jacob McVane, Wiedenbeck,
Ian Blom, and Larson placed first in 43.04.
The Green Knights also had a strong showing in the field events, recording either a first or second-place finish in each.
Maddix Mueller (pictured) won the long jump with a mark of 20 feet 11 1/4 inches and the triple jump at 44 feet. McVane posted a first-place finish in the pole vault with a clearance of 12-11 3/4.
Jacob Klitzke claimed three throwing events, winning the discus throw at 142-10, the hammer throw at 175, and the shot put at 53-6 1/4.
