DE PERE – St. Norbert College placed second out of nine teams at its first outdoor meet of the season at Schneider Stadium, tallying nine first-place finishes.
The Green Knights totaled 185 points, just six points shy of UW-Stevens Point who claimed the team title with 191 points.
Ryan Flood won the 400-meter dash in 52.09, while
Lars Huffman captured the 1,500-meter run in 4:07.83. St. Norbert also earned wins in both relays, with the 4x100-meter team of
Noah Antolec,
Cole Wiedenbeck,
Ian Blom, and
Maxwell Jayne finishing first in 44.99, and the 4x400-meter team of
Jacob Larson (pictured),
Ian Meyer,
Carson Hammer, and
Maddix Mueller winning in 3:37.73.
In the field events,
Hunter Thiel won the long jump with a mark of 6.1 meters, while
Anthony Osborn took first in the triple jump at 12.76.
Jacob Klitzke collected wins in both the hammer throw and shot put, with distances of 52.22 and 16.75, respectively.
Ezra Schermacher earned a first-place finish in the pole vault, clearing a height of 4.96.
