
RIPON - St. Norbert College placed third out of seven teams at the Ripon College Red Hawk Invite at the Willmore Center.
The Green Knights earned 97.5 points, while UW-Oshkosh won the team title with 183 points.
Freshman
Kyan Lynts won the 3,000-meter run in 8:42.32, recording nearly a 20-second personal best while breaking a school record that had stood since 2007.
Ezra Schermacher (pictured) also delivered a standout effort, winning the pole vault with a personal-best clearance of 16 feet 1 3/4 inches, a mark that currently ranks ninth in the nation.
St. Norbert added two more event victories on the day, as
Lars Huffman claimed first place in the 1-mile run with a time of 4:20.25, while
Jacob Klitzke captured the shot put title with a throw of 56-2 3/4.
