
RIPON – St. Norbert College won four conference titles in the five events contested on the first day of the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Indoor Track & Field Championship at Ripon College's Willmore Center.
The Green Knights used those performances to position itself for the final 12 events set for Day 2 by registering 52.4 points. Milwaukee School of Engineering leads the team standings with 71 points. Wisconsin Lutheran College is in a distant third place with 21 points.
St. Norbert won three individual and one relay title.
Ezra Schermacher (pictured) won the pole vault at 15 feet 3 inches,
Jacob Klitzke took the weight throw at 55-10 1/2 and
Kyan Lynts claimed the 5,000-meter run in 15:14.49. The quartet of
Will Cascio,
Ian Blom,
Carson Hammer and
Lars Huffman won the distance medley relay in 10:31.56.
Killian McGinnis finished in fifth place in the triple jump at 44-8, followed by
Hunter Thiel in seventh place at 43-9 1/4.
Maddix Mueller and
Jacob McVane tied for sixth in the pole vault at 12-9 1/2.
Christian Lopez finished sixth in the 5,000-meter run in 15:39.045, while
Jacob Wellons was eighth in 15:56.91.
