BEREA, Ohio - St. Norbert College traveled to the Buckeye State and the Baldwin Wallace University Invitational and opened play with a pair of matches.
The Green Knights opened with a 3-0 loss to No. 15-ranked Baldwin Wallace by scores of 24-15, 25-16, 27-25. St. Norbert then fell 3-0 to the University of Mount Union 25-20, 26-24, 25-19.
Statistics for the Baldwin Wallace match are currently under review and will be updated Sunday.
Against Mount Union, the Green Knights hit .224 with 36 kills against 16 errors in 96 attempts.
Jacob Van Ooyen led St. Norbert with 12 kills, while
Kaden Kornaus and
Barry Applewhite (pictured) had eight kills apiece.
Michael Whitney had 24 assists, while Applewhite had two service aces.
Ryan Conway had 11 digs, while Kornaus and
Grant Bettag had two blocks each.
St. Norbert wraps up its trip to Metro Cleveland with a match against No. 7-ranked UC-Santa Cruz at 9 a.m CST Sunday.
