
RIPON - St. Norbert College opened the weekend with action at the Ripon College Red Hawk Opener at the Willmore Center and Rose-Hulman Friday Night Spikes at SRC Fieldhouse in Terre Haute, Ind.
At Ripon, the Green Knights tied for third place with 62 points. UW-Oshkosh won the meet with 188 points.
Edwin Galarza won the 3,000-meter run with a time of 9:42.21.
Carson Hammer placed second in the 800-meter run in 2:01.24, while
Kyan Lynts added a runner-up finish in the 5,000-meter run, clocking a time of 15:28.03. The team of
Noah Antolec,
Cole Wiedenbeck,
Maxwell Jayne, and
Ian Blom finished second in the 4x200-meter relay in 1:37.37.
At Rose-Hulman, St. Norbert finished fifth with 33 points. Washington University won the team title with 190 points.
Maddix Mueller (pictured) won the long jump with a mark of 21 feet 3/4 inches, while
Hunter Thiel placed second with the same distance.
At the first day of the Crossroads of America Invitational at the Indiana State Fairgrounds,
Jacob Klitzke set a school record in the weight throw with a heave of 56-3 1/4. The mark is currently second-best in Division III this season.
