
ST. PETER, Minn. – St. Norbert College had four players competing at the ITA Midwest Regional and Midwest Open hosted by Gustavus Adolphus College.
The doubles tandem of
Jackson Harpt and
Nolan Pearson had the best weekend, competing in the "B" flight of the Midwest Open. They opened with an 8-1 win over Bethany Lutheran College's Ezra Greenman and Alexandrew Batista Silva. The duo then gained an 8-4 second-round win over Grinnell College's Juan Diego Carpio and Keegan McLaughlin. They then dropped an 8-4 decision to Gustavus Adolphus' Karl Kimber and Ethan Ellor in the third round.
Brett Daniels and
Ryan Garland both competed in the championship singles flight of the ITA Regional. Daniels fell 6-0, 7-6 in a first-round match with Coe College's Bryton Short. Garland dropped a 7-6, 6-3 outcome to Milwaukee School of Engineering's Randy Funez, also in the first round.
Harpt lost a 6-1, 7-6 first-round decision to MSOE's Clark Rue in the Midwest Open "B" singles flight. Pearson dropped a 6-1, 6-0 score to College of St. Scholastica's Danny Tores in the first round of the Midwest Open "F" singles flight.
Daniels and Garland battled UW-Eau Claire's Pablo Rincon and Ethan Leeser in an 8-6 setback in the first round of the ITA Doubles championship flight.
