
KENOSHA – St. Norbert College opened up a sizable lead in the team standings after the first day of the 2025 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Women's Indoor Track & Field Championship at UW-Parkside's Petretti Fieldhouse.
The Green Knights rolled up 106.5 points through six events, well ahead of Concordia University Wisconsin's 40 points. Aurora University is in third place with 36.5 points.
St. Norbert had four conference champions crowned, with
Eden Maranell (pictured) winning the triple jump at 37 feet 2 inches and the pentathlon with 3,172 points.
Gloria Tyler took the weight throw with a heave of 51-2. The quartet of
Ellee Grunwald,
Ally Zickert,
Gretchen Lane and
Olivia Ship won the distance medley relay with a time of 13:03.89.
Posting second-place finishes were
Isabella Galindo and
Lara Deshler tying in the pole vault at 10-0 and
Amereka McPherson in the triple jump at 36-5.
Also reaching the podium with third-place showings were
Larissa Huffman in the pentathlon with 2,615 points and
Nicole Makope in the triple jump at 36-1 1/2.
