BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – St. Norbert College junior Eden Maranell finished seventh in the triple jump at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championship at Birmingham CrossPlex.
 
Maranell earned her first first-team All-America honors in the event, which goes to the top eight finishers, after finishing 12th for second-team All-America accolades in each of the previous two seasons.
 
Maranell, a Howards Grove native, saved her best for last by popping a St. Norbert-record leap of 39 feet 6 1/2 inches on her sixth and final jump of competition. The mark moved her from eighth to seventh.
 
The mark of 39-6 1/2 is also an all-time Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference indoor rceord.
