
RIPON – St. Norbert College got the men's indoor track and field season off to a good start with solid performances at the Ripon College Winter Open at Willmore Center.
St. Norbert won the team title with 107 points.
The Green Knights had four first-place finishes, led by
Jacob Larson's (pictured) wins in the 300-meter dash (36.48 seconds) and 60-meter hurdles (8.60 seconds).
Ezra Schermacher won the pole vault with a clearance of 15 feet 5 inches, while
Jacob Klitzke claimed the shot put at 53-9 3/4. Klitzke added a second-place finish in the weight throw at 50-4.
Also earning second-place showings were
Ian Meyer in the 300-meter dash (36.85 seconds) and
Ryan Flood in the high jump (5-10 3/4).
At the UW-Oshkosh Early Bird and Multi,
Maddix Mueller finished fourth in the heptathlon with 4,392 points.
