DE PERE – St. Norbert College was defeated at the hands of Marian University twice over the weekend, dropping scores of 13-2 and 6-2 in a Northern Collegiate Hockey League weekend series.
The Green Knights (5-16, 4-13 NCHL) trailed through most of the weekend series, including a 4-0 deficit going into the third period of Saturday's game at Cornerstone Community Center.
Sean Yurkov put the Green Knights on the scoreboard with a goal at 0:38 in the third period, while Mick Gilbert scored at 14:36. Dylan Pomillo, Tommy Somen and Jake Kunz all had assists in Saturday's game.
Anders Smith made 59 stops for the Green Knights.
St. Norbert had no opportunities on the power play, while Marian went 1-for-2, scoring their first goal on a Sabres advantage.
