DE PERE – St. Norbert College battled UW-Oshkosh in two high-scoring contests last weekend, falling by scores of 10-9 in overtime on Friday and 6-5 on Saturday in a Northern Collegiate Hockey League series.
The Green Knights (5-14, 4-11 NCHL) went into the middle of the second period trailing 8-3 in Friday's game at Oshkosh. Led by Sean Yurkov and Dylan Pomillo hattricks, St. Norbert rallied to tie the game at 9-9 late in the third period with four goals and held on at the end with a 5-on-3 power play for the Titans. UW-Oshkosh eventually took the win in overtime, scoring at 1:57 in the extra period.
In Saturday's game at the Resch Olympic Pavilion, Chase Kassulat put the Green Knights up 1-0 in the first period before four goals from Oshkosh in the second period put the Titans up 4-3. St. Norbert tied the game at 5-5 following goals from Patrick Muszynski (pictured) and Will Mullooly at 9:46 in the third, but Oshkosh once again got the last laugh with a game-winner at 14:46.
Jake Kunz finished the game with three assists for three points, while Mullooly and Pomillo had one goal and one assist for two points.
Patrick Boyle made 41 saves for the Green Knights.
