WAUWATOSA - St. Norbert College sits in second place after the first of two days of competition at the 2024 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championship at Wisconsin Lutheran College's Raabe Stadium.
The Green Knights have 60 points, trailing Milwaukee School of Engineering's 70 points. Aurora University is in third place with 36 points.
Aiden Anderson collected the Green Knights' lone championship on Day 1, winning the pole vault at 15 feet 5 1/2 inches.
Evan Koelemay was second in the pole vault at 14-11 1/2, while
Marcus Mittelstadt was seventh at 13-5 3/4.
Hunter Thiel was second in the triple jump at 44-11 and finished seventh in the javelin throw at 133-11.
Christian Toonen was second in the javelin at 155-0, while
Jacob Klitzke was second in the discus throw at 146-11. Mittelstadt was eighth in the discus at 127-6.
Alex Myszewski was third in the triple jump at 44-5, with
Austin Welsch following in fourth place, also at 44-5.
Anthony Osborn was eighth at 42-0 1/4.
Christian Lopez added an eighth-place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 10:38.02.
St. Norbert also had 18 entries qualify through preliminary heats for Day 2's finals.
