WAUKESHA – St. Norbert College finished in second place at the Wisconsin Private College Championship hosted at Carroll University's Punches Track.
The Green Knights finished with 148.5 points. Carthage College totaled 162 points to finish in first place. Ripon College was a distant third with 96 points.
St. Norbert had five first-place finishes.
Ezra Schermacher won the 110-meter hurdles in 15.45 seconds, while
Mitch Van Vooren taking the 400-meter hurdles in 53.98 seconds.
Aiden Anderson claimed the pole vault at 15 feet 3/4 inch, while
Hunter Thiel won the triple jump in 41-11 1/2.
The 4x400-meter relay of

Nick Johnson,
Michael Pollos and Van Vooren won with a time of 3:23.04.
The Green Knights had three runner-up finishes.
Collin Sylvain in the 400-meter run (50.74 seconds),
Evan Koelemay in the pole vault (13-11 3/4) and the quartet of
Luke Nash,
Gabriel Thiel,
Blake Retzlaff and
Kavin Fredrick in the 4x100-meter relay in 42.98 seconds.
Jacob Klitzke had a pair of third-place showings in throws, carding 144-7 in the discus and 48-4 1/2 in the shot put.
