DES MOINES, Iowa – On a busy day for St. Norbert College track and field, the Green Knights established school records in the men's and women's shuttle hurdle relays at the 114th Drake Relays at Drake Stadium.
The women's quartet of
Larissa Huffman,
Eden Maranell,
Gretchen Schwarz and
Lauren Borchardt turned in a time of 1:02.57, which is the ninth-best mark all-time among Division III schools in the event. The men's quad of
James McKnight,
Mitch Van Vooren,
Nathaniel Greenlaw and
Ezra Schermacher fashioned a time of 1:02.68.
St. Norbert also hosted its annual invitational at Schneider Stadium, with 12 schools competing. The men finished in third place with 90 points, while the women ended in fifth place with 62 points.
The Green Knights had two first-place finishes on the men's side, with
Aiden Anderson winning the pole vault at 15 feet 6 1/4 inches and
Anthony Osborn popping a distance of 39-3 in the triple jump.
St. Norbert's women also had two first-place showings, with
Chloe Pierson winning the 3,000-meter run in 11:24.56 and
Peyton Panka taking the javelin throw at 118-8.
