DES MOINES, Iowa - St. Norbert College had a new school record set during competition at the 114th Drake Relays on the famed blue oval at Drake Stadium.
The Green Knights men's 4x200-meter relay broke a record in that event that had stood since 1995 when the quartet of
Collin Sylvain,
Gabriel Thiel,
Luke Nash and
Blake Retzlaff finished the circuit in 1:28.99.
St. Norbert also had a women's entry in the 4x200-meter relay, with
Nicole Makope,
Katie Smith,
Nikki Tranel and
Gracie Wolfe posted a time of 1:45.94.
Individually,
Mitch Van Vooren finished sixth out of 27 entries in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 52.31 seconds. He had the second-best Division III time in the race and completed against a field that included thinclads from the SEC, Big Ten and Big 12.
