STEVENS POINT - St. Norbert College sits in second place after the first day of the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Indoor Championship hosted at UW-Stevens Point's Skyward Fieldhouse.
The Green Knights registered 47.5 points, narrowly trailing Milwaukee School of Engineering's 51 points through five events. Aurora University is in third place with 26.5 points.
Aiden Anderson picked up St. Norbert's lone conference title on the first day with a win in the pole vault at 14 feet 9 1/2 inches.
Ezra Schermacher finished second, also clearing 14-9 1/2, but Anderson got the nod for first place on fewer attempts.
Schermacher led five St. Norbert scorers in the long jump, finishing third with a distance of 22 2 1/4.
Austin Welsch was fourth at 22-1,
Matt Ganz sixth at 21-6 1/4,
Alex Myszewski seventh at 21-4 3/4 and
Hunter Thiel eighth at 21-0 1/4.

Jacob Klitzke finished fifth in the weight throw at 50-2.
