
RIPON – St. Norbert College got the track and field season underway at the Ripon College Winter Open at Willmore Center.
The Green Knights fashioned four first-place finishes.
Nicole Makope (pictured) picked up two, winning the 60-meter dash in 7.91 seconds and the long jump at 16 feet 8 1/2 inches.
Katie Smith won the 200-meter dash in 26.77 seconds, while
Amereka McPherson claimed the triple jump with a distance of 36-5.
Also competing in a multi event at UW-Oshkosh,
Eden Maranell finished in fourth place in the pentathlon with 3,348 points.
