BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - St. Norbert College sophomore Eden Maranell pooh-poohed any Friday the 13th omens with a big performance at the Indiana University Early Bird Meet at Gladstein Fieldhouse.

Maranell (pictured) became the first Green Knight to go over the 39-foot mark in the triple jump during the indoor season, reaching a distance of 39 feet 1 inch (11.91 meters).

Her distance is currently good for second in the current NCAA Division III national standings, putting Maranell is strong position to qualify in the event for the 2025 NCAA Division III Indoor Championship in March.
