4x200 Relay Named NACC Track Athletes of the Week

2022 Drake Relay BannerDE PERE - St. Norbert College's 4x200-meter relay team has been named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Women's Track Players of the Week for its performance last Friday at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa.

The quartet of Maddie LeBrun (Sr. - Oregon, Wis.), Audrey Makope (Sr. - Neenah, Wis.), Daijah Brown (Sr. - Joliet, Ill.) and Sydney Zima (Sr. - Oshkosh, Wis.) finished fifth in the event running against mostly Division I competition. The foursome turned in a time of 1:40.05, unofficially the best time ever run by a Division III 4x200-meter relay. The previous standard on record was 1:40.40 set on April 25, 2018 by Nebraska Wesleyan University. The time also erased a 32-year-old St. Norbert record by over seven seconds.

St. Norbert finished behind Kentucky (1:32.98), Minnesota State (1:34.87), Purdue (1:35.35) and South Dakota (1:35.94). The group finished ahead of Utah (1:40.34), Indiana State (1:40.35), Illinois (1:40.59), Marquette (1:40.67), Loras (1:40.67), St. Louis (1:41.29), North Dakota State (1:41.54) and Drake (1:41.64).
