Box Score LAKE FOREST, Ill. - St. Norbert College got a pair of power-play goals and that was enough to lift the Green Knights to a 2-1 win over Lake Forest College in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game to open a two-game series at Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse.
The Green Knights won for the ninth time in their last 11 games and improved to 12-4 overall and 6-1 in the NCHA. Lake Forest dropped to 6-7, 6-1. St. Norbert snapped a 12-game winless streak against the Foresters with the win.
St. Norbert took a first-period lead when newcomer 
Lexi Bonfe scored an unassisted power-play goal at 18:21. Bonfe, a transfer from St. Michael's (Vt.) College, was playing in her first game for the Green Knights.
Lake Forest tied things up early in the second period when Karya Dean scored a power-play marker just 30 seconds into the frame. 
Kelsey Ross answered for St. Norbert at 2:22, scoring off a 
Natalie Hogan setup for a power-play goal.
St. Norbert held Lake Forest to just nine shots on goal in the third period, with 
Brynn Waisman turning away every shot to preserve the win. Lake Forest had 35 seconds of extra-attacker time at the end of the game.
Waisman made 41 saves for the Green Knights, who were outshot 42-23. Hannah Turnage made 21 saves for Lake Forest.
St. Norbert was 2-for-5 on the power play, while Lake Forest was 1-for-5.
