DE PERE – St. Norbert College skated past Milwaukee School of Engineering 4-0 in the second game of a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Slaats Cup Quarterfinal at Resch Olympic Pavilion.
The Green Knights (17-8-2) won their sixth consecutive shutout in the second game of the quarterfinal round to sweep MSOE, having defeated the Raiders 2-0 in the first game on Friday.
Tristan Wicklund scored the opener at 5:39 in the first period off Emily Bill and Sydney Zurawick helpers to take an early 1-0 lead. Annalee Holzer doubled the advantage shortly after at 13:42 as the Green Knights started to roll. Hannah Grabinowski scored on a power play in the third period to make it 3-0 at 3:07 in the second period. Anna Rausch (pictured) completed a dominant performance with a goal at 13:14 as the Green Knights advanced to the Slaats Cup semifinals.
Wicklund finished the afternoon with one goal and two assists for three points while Claire Healy had two assists for two points. Emily Bill, Grace Wittkopf and Ava Anick all had one assist for one point.
St. Norbert outshot the Raiders 31-17. Keira Markell made 17 saves for St. Norbert while Jenna Kent made 27 stops for MSOE.
The Green Knights were 1-for-2 on the power play while MSOE went 0-for-2.
St. Norbert will face Concordia University Wisconsin next Saturday at 7 p.m. in a Slaats Cup semifinal in Mequon.
