QUINCY, Ill. - St. Norbert College STUNT debuted with three matches over two days at the Quincy University Kickoff Tournament at Pepsi Arena.
The Green Knights fell to Central Methodist University 12-0 and Buena Vista University 10-0 on Friday, before taking on hosts Quincy on Saturday morning with a 10-0 loss.
Against the Eagles, Central Methodist held a 4-0 lead after two quarters, picking up all four possible points in the partner and team routines. The Eagles also gained two points in the third quarter in the tumbling event and were awarded four further points in the fourth quarter, a routine combining all three of the previous routines into one event.
Buena Vista and Quincy both earned the same number of points against the Green Knights, each getting a 4-0 halftime lead before gaining two points in the third and four in the fourth.
St. Norbert will return with its second tournament next weekend at Saint Mary's College, taking on five different opponents from across the Midwest.
