DE PERE – St. Norbert College senior Isabella Galindo and the relay team of juniors Eden Maranell, Katie Smith and Madi Crossman and sophomore Madison Gramblicka have been named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference's Track and Field Athletes of the Week, announced today by the conference office.
Galindo, a Crivitz native and graduate, set the NACC's top mark in the pole vault at the UW-Oshkosh Titan Challenge, going for a height of 11 feet 1 3/4 inches.
The 4x4 400-meter relay team competed at the UW-La Crosse Caged Eagle Invitational and reset the NACC record in the event by more than five seconds, which the group previously had set. Their time is currently the 19th best in Division III.
The award is Galindo's first in her career and second for the relay team this season.
