
GRINNELL, Iowa - St. Norbert College picked up a pair of individual conference titles at Midwest Conference Championship hosted by Grinnell College at Osgood Pool.
Katherine Thompson (pictured) won the MWC title in the 200-yard freestyle, posting a time of 1:57.13.
Ally Boyer claimed the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:06.69. It was Thompson's first conference title, while it was Boyer's fourth and her second in the 100 breaststroke.
Those two champions helped keep St. Norbert in second place in the team standings after the third of four days of competition. The Green Knights have 522 points, trailing only Grinnell's 752 points.
The 400-yard medley relay of
Alisha Draeger, Boyer,
Keyilah Justus and
Claire Sieber finished second with a time of 3:59.52.
St. Norbert divers
Ashley Mako and
Adelle Polzin finished second and third, respectively, in 1-meter diving. Mako posted a St. Norbert-record 448.05 points, while Polzin totaled 429.95 points, which would have also broken the previous school record. Both performances were well above the NCAA Regional cut line of 395.00 points.
Draeger was second in the 100-yard backstroke in 58.73 seconds.
Sanya Wienke added a fourth-place finish in the 100 breaststroke in 1:08.43.
Emma Dees was seventh in the 400-yard individual medley in 4:49.92, while
Grace Sobczak was ninth in 5:00.21.
Madeline Finstad placed eighth in the 100-yard butterfly in 1:01.53, while Ashley Janowski was eighth in the 200-yard freestyle in 2:02.11.
