Hewitt Named Offensive Line Coach

Blake Hewitt GraphicDE PERE – Blake Hewitt has been named St. Norbert College assistant football coach - offensive line, announced today by head coach Dan McCarty.  

Hewitt arrives at St. Norbert following a four-year stint at Michigan Tech University, working in several different coaching roles. He was most recently the tight ends coach and video coordinator, having previously served as an assistant offensive line coach.  

"I couldn't be more excited to add Blake to our coaching staff and football program," McCarty said. "Having been an integral part of a successful Division II program at Michigan Tech, this will be a seamless transition. He'll fit right into our program and culture immediately." 

Hewitt, an Ishpeming, Mich., native, earned both his undergraduate degree in exercise science and master of science in kinesiology at Michigan Tech. He was a member of the Huskies offensive line from 2019-21 and was named to the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference's all-academic team twice. He became involved in coaching as a student assistant on the offensive line following the 2021 season.

"I would like to thank Coach McCarty and the rest of the football staff for allowing me to be a part of their program and this great community," Hewitt said. "I am excited to get to work with the team and contribute to the future growth of St. Norbert football."
