DE PERE – St. Norbert College had 11 football players named to the All-Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference team, announced today by the conference office.
Three were named to the first team: senior offensive linemen Logan Erchull and Lucas Tappy and junior defensive back Sean Gilles. Five were named to the second team: senior wide receiver Bailey Turenne, senior linebacker Brian Treacy, junior offensive lineman Deacon Carroll, junior punter/kicker Tyler Juergensen and junior punter Mason Levake.
Three were named honorable mention: senior defensive lineman Nate Lee, junior linebacker John Seitz and sophomore running back Jacob McVane.
Additionally, Tappy was named the NACC's Offensive Lineman of the Year.
Erchull, a New Berlin native and Catholic Memorial High School graduate, played in all 10 games. It is the second straight year the senior has been named to the first team.
Tappy, a Iron Mountain, Mich., native, and Kingsford High School graduate, played in all 10 games. This is the third time he was named to the first team in his career, having been named a D3football.com Pre-Season All-American earlier this season.
Gilles, a Onalaska native and graduate, made 46 tackles with two tackles for loss, three sacks and two interceptions. One of his interceptions went for six in St. Norbert's 44-0 win over Eureka College.
Turenne, a Merrill native and graduate, led the Green Knights in receiving with 455 yards on 39 catches with six touchdowns. He caught four touchdowns in the final four games of the season.
Treacy, a Homer Glen, Ill., native, and Providence Catholic High School graduate, made 55 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, two sacks and one interception.
Carroll, a Gresham native and Shawno High School graduate, played in all 10 games.
Juergensen, a McHenry, Ill., native and McHenry Community High School graduate, made 10 of 12 field goals and 32 of 34 PATs. He was named the NACC's Special Teams Player of the Week on Oct. 28 after going 4-of-4 on field goals and 5-of-5 on PAT attempts against Rockford University.
Levake, a Lake Mills native and graduate, punted 43 times for 1700 yards with 12 being downed inside the 20.
Lee, a Neenah native and graduate, made 24 tackles with three sacks and one forced fumble.
Seitz, a Startford native and graduate, totaled 66 tackles with six tackles for loss and one interception.
McVane, a Green Bay native and Ashwaubenon High School graduate, led the team in rushing with 717 yards on 130 carries with a team-high seven touchdowns. He also caught 21 passes for 202 yards and a touchdown.
