
DE PERE – St. Norbert College will travel to Gustavus Adolphus College in the first round of the NCAA Division III Tournament at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 15, at Don Roberts Ice Rink in St. Peter, Minn.
The Green Knights (24-4-1) earned the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association's automatic qualifier into the 12-team tournament by capturing the Slaats Cup Playoffs championship with a thrilling 3-2 overtime win over Adrian College on Saturday.
The Golden Gusties (21-6) earned an at-large berth into the tournament after falling in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament championship game 2-1 to Augsburg University on Saturday.
The winner will advance to play Augsburg (23-3-1) in a national quarterfinal game on Saturday, March 22 in Minneapolis.
This tournament appearance is St. Norbert's second. The Green Knights made their only NCAA Tournament trip in 2013, where they lost 5-2 at Plattsburgh State University.
Gustavus Adolphus is making its 18th NCAA Division III Tournament appearance. The Golden Gusties are 16-21 all-time in the tournament, winning the national championship in 2023.
