EAU CLAIRE – St. Norbert College got its 2025 campaign underway with two losses to UW-Eau Claire, dropping two contests to the Blugolds 10-0 and 8-0 in a doubleheader at Sonnentag Fieldhouse.  

The Green Knights fell behind after Eau Claire scored two runs in each of the first two innings and with a six-run inning from the Blugolds in the third, the hosts extended their lead to 10-0. St. Norbert was able to get a leadoff single in each of the first three innings, but could not come within scoring positions.  

Much of the same struggles continued for the Green Knights in the second game of the day. Although getting on base early with leadoff singles, St. Norbert trailed 6-0 after three innings. A four-run inning from the Blugolds put Eau Claire up 8-0.  

Allison Ardito, Zoe Zasada, Morgan Hansel and Magdeline Hanmann all recorded one single. Amber Johanek took the loss for St. Norbert, pitching four innings and allowing four runs with two walks and strikeouts.
