DE PERE – St. Norbert College junior Taylor Thiry and head women's basketball coach Amanda Leonhard-Perry were named with major Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference postseason honors, announced today by the conference office. In total, three players were named to the All-NACC team.
Thiry was named the conference player of the year, while Leonhard-Perry was honored as coach of the year.
Seniors Emma Morrisey and Casey Jepson were also named to the All-NACC team, with Morrisey being listed to the first team while Jepson was named to the second team.
Thiry, a Casco native and Luxemburg-Casco High School graduate, averaged 15.8 points and 6.6 rebounds a game shooting 63 percent from the floor. She led the conference in field goal percentage and in points scored with 412. Thiry was also named NACC Player of the Week four times this season.
Morrisey, a Hoffman Estates, Ill., native and St. Viator High School graduate, averaged 9.1 points and 3.3 assists per game shooting 39.4 percent from the floor. She surpassed 1,000 career points and tied a St. Norbert record for most 3-pointers in a game with seven.
Jepson, a De Pere native and West De Pere High School graduate, averaged 8.5 points a game shooting 43 percent from the floor and 36.9 percent from beyond the arc. She was named NACC Player of the Week once this season.
