COLFAX – St. Norbert College recorded its best regional showing since 2009 at the NCAA Division III North Regional, ran at Whitetail Golf Course. The Green Knights placed 15th of 31 teams and recorded the second lowest point total in school history with 390.
The team title was rewarded to UW-La Crosse who earned 30 points, while UW-Stevens Point came in second with 110 points. Mohammed Bati of Augsburg University won the 8-kilometer race in 24:23.7.
Lars Huffman led St. Norbert with a 53rd-place finish in 26:04.3. Kyan Lynts followed in 59th place with a time of 26:08.6, and Michael Chudy placed 64th in 26:14.4. Christian Lopez earned an 84th-place finish at 26:36.8.
Jacob Wellons crossed at 27:52.2 for an 133rd-place finish, and William Cascio recorded a time of 28:23.4 to place 154th. Carson Hammer rounded out the Green Knights' top-seven runners with an 180th-place finish in 29:58.6.
