RIVER FOREST, Ill. - St. Norbert College continued play in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference action with a 3-0 loss to Concordia University Chicago at Geiseman Gymnasium.
The Green Knights (6-10, 3-2 NACC) dropped the match to the Cougars (10-7, 3-1) by scores of 25-18, 25-17, 25-20.
St. Norbert never led in Set 1 but got to within 18-16 before Concordia went on a 3-0 run to get some separation. The second set featured six ties and a pair of lead changes, with the last tie coming at 13-13 before the Cougars rattled off four straight points. St. Norbert was again in the third set, trailing 15-13, before the Cougars' 6-3 run put the match away.
The Green Knights had 28 kills against 22 errors in 90 attempts for an .067 hitting percentage.
Barry Applewhite had nine kills, while
Jake Bettag added seven and
Kade Nelson five.
Eddie Pacula finished with 14 assists, with
Michael Whitney adding 12.
Ryan Conway led the back row with 13 digs. Bettag had two blocks.
Concordia hit .289, with 42 kills against 14 errors in 97 attempts. Tyler Holubek led the Cougars with 16 kills.
