St. Norbert College

Career: Four Varsity letters. As of final match played on 4/8/23 was the programs all-time leader in blocks (135), hitting percentage (.247), and second in totals points scored (392.5). One All-NACC selection.

2023: Posted best numbers of career in senior campaign. Amassed 187 kills, 73 total blocks (program record to-date) and hit .239 over the spring. Standout matches came vs. Rockford on 3/4 and Lasell on 3/17 where he accumulated season and career-best totals in kills (16) and blocks (9), respectively. Became the first player in program history to be named as an All-NACC performer garnering honorable mention status.

2022: Appeared in 23 sets over 7 matches prior to season-ending injury. Tallied 39 kills and 20 blocks on the year. Recorded a season-best 9 kills vs. Wabash in home opener on 1/28. Collected 5 blocks vs. Illinois Wesleyan on 2/12.

2021: Season cancelled due to Covid-19

2020: Anchored the middle attack for the Green Knights, appearing in 17 matches and 59 sets across the shortened season. Recorded 68 total kills and 42 total blocks for a 1.15 and 0.71 average, respectively. Posted a season-high eight kills vs. North Park University. Tallied 4.0 blocks, or more, seven times on the year.

Before SNC: Was a four-year volleyball letter winner at Marmion Academy, earning all-league honors three times. Also lettered in basketball during high school. Credits coach Barbara Ebert at Marmion Academy as an important part of his volleyball journey.

Personal: Majoring in business administration. Son of Larry and Michelle Bettag. Has four siblings: Brett, Claire, Grant and Tessa. Brother Grant was also a member of the SNC men's volleyball team. Birthdate is Feb. 11.
